We are actively seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Manager to join our growing team at the Internet Service Business Unit of Rakuten Symphony. In this role, you will contribute to financial planning, business performance analysis, accounting operations, tax compliance, and stakeholder management while partnering closely with local and global teams. Responsibilities

BU Profit and Loss (P&L) Management: Manage and oversee overall business unit P&L, conduct in-depth financial analysis, and provide regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Working Capital Optimization: Manage and optimize working capital, including AR, inventory, and AP, by driving strategic initiatives and ensuring efficient execution.
- Financial Performance Management: Analyze key financial metrics such as revenue, margin, accounts receivable, and backlog, and provide actionable insights to improve business performance.
- Korea Accounting Operations Leadership: Oversee accounting operations for the Korea entity, ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data, and support consolidation and reporting to regional/global headquarters.
- Tax Strategy and Compliance: Lead tax planning initiatives, proactively manage tax risks, and ensure full compliance with local tax regulations in Korea.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and business units, supporting decision-making and driving profitability and business growth.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, HR, and other functions to provide financial guidance and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Audit and Internal Control Management: Lead internal and external audit processes and strengthen internal control frameworks to mitigate risks.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key liaison between the Korea entity and regional/global headquarters, managing stakeholder relationships and driving alignment on key priorities and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

8 to 15 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), General Accounting, Taxation, Treasury, or Controlling.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business performance analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong understanding of Korean accounting standards (K-IFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Experience in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Hands-on experience in working capital management, including accounts receivable, cash flow, and liquidity management.
- Experience supporting or managing internal and external audits.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in IT, Telecommunications, Software, SaaS, or Project-based industries.

Experience in working for multinational corporations or global organizations.
- Experience in financial modeling, profitability analysis, and investment evaluation.
- Knowledge in project accounting, revenue recognition, and contract management.
- Professional certification such as KICPA, AICPA or equivalent.
- Experience in leading finance transformation, process improvement, or ERP implementation projects.
- Experience in managing or mentoring junior finance/accounting team members.
